Michigan outlasts Ohio State in overtime

By Rod Beard The Detroit News Comments Ann Arbor — Michigan coach John Beilein had to work on his birthday, but it was all worth it. Beilein turned 60 and his Wolverines gave him a suitable present — a hard-fought, 76-74 overtime victory over rival Ohio State on Tuesday night at Crisler Center. The teams entered the game tied for second place in the Big Ten, but U-M averted the season sweep after falling at Columbus last month. Tim Hardaway hit six 3-pointers and had 17 of his 23 points in the second half.
