By Detroit News Staff and wire reports Comments Two more deaths in Michigan have been linked to the national meningitis outbreak, state health officials said Wednesday. The Michigan Department of Community Health said the case count associated with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention investigation is 164 total cases and 10 deaths. The two deaths were reported in Livingston County this week, spokeswoman Angela Minicuci said. The death of a 75-year-old woman was reported Wednesday. A 50-year-old woman's death was reported Monday. The CDC this week reported some 490 cases and 34 deaths associated with the outbreak in 19 states.
