Comments Republicans have made a fatal blunder by attacking the Social Security and Medicare programs. These programs were bought and paid for over many years by both recipients and their employers. Not only have Republicans been involved in the mismanagement of these programs, along with the Democrats they are equally guilty of stealing the entire contribution for other programs in order to buy votes from special interests. Had the contributions to these programs been properly invested, the money would have kept up with inflation.
