Comments It was downright discouraging to read Tom Long's Nov. 16 review of Steven Spielberg's new production of "Lincoln" ("Well-acted, serious 'Lincoln' bogged down by politics") and his dismissive characterization of the film as "too political" for his tastes. Mr. Long's callous low grade will have the unfortunate effect of keeping some readers who should see this film from taking the time to do so. Spielberg has crafted another classic dramatization of a historic figure and time that will educate and inform the public for generations to come, akin to his masterpieces "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan."
